Me!

Hi there! I am Courtney. I am a 35 year old part-time nurse, full-time wife and mommy. I have two amazing children, Jacob 11 and Leah 7. I have a wonderful husband of almost 14 years, Robbie. I suffer from an auto-immune disease called Ankylosing Spondylitis (think rheumatoid arthritis, but in the spine and pelvis). I manage pretty well though, and try, usually successfully, not to let it get me down. I am a Christian. I, like most mothers struggle to keep up with mommy-hood, work, marriage (add debilitating disease too) and be the best at it. I am trying desperately to mold tiny humans and not jack them up in the process. I am terrified of teenager-hood and pray to make it through that relatively unscathed. I am a die-hard football fan (namely LSU! but also Saints). My husband and I have a happy, though flawed marriage. We laugh a lot and are probably a little thrown off. Life at my house is probably a lot like yours. We play, laugh, study, argue, stress, struggle, and laugh some more. I look forward to sharing some of our crazy, and would love to hear some of yours! Advice is solicited and welcome!!

  4. I feel it is very important to not jack up the humans you are raising. It's bad form.
